Note
From Allen Blethyn 26 Mar 2010: William G.B.Coker: 1946 Civilian Service register. Still in the forces, of Tylagigfran, Margam. Bernard was spoilt by his uncle Edward Griffith who died at Tylagigfran in 1953. In 1947 when Bernard Coker came home to Tylegigfran from the armed forces, there was no one at home. He used a ladder to enter the cottage by an upstairs window, but he was spotted by Jane Tate Mainwaring across on the other side of Brombil Valley at Llwn y boxan cottage, who reported him to the police. He later became a bus driver. ... also ... In the early 1940s James Rowland bought Tylagigfran from the Margam Estate, his wifes family were living just out of sight over the hill at Lan tan y Groes. Gladys the last of the Griffith family had married Edwin Coker of Swansea, and they still occuppied Tyla. James Rowland could not bring himself to ask them to leave, and so it was a case of sharing 4 rooms between them.
