Transcription: In the Name of God Amen. I Jennet Richard of the Parish of Baglan in the County of Glamorgan Widow, Being sick in body but of sound mind memory and understanding, thanks be to God for it do make and Order this my Last Will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say I give devise and bequeath unto my Niece Catherine Jones the Daughter of Thomas Jones Esq. one Hundred Pounds that is of Mr Elias Jenkins of the town of Neath by Bond. Likewise I give desire and bequeath unto Margaret Jones the Daughter of Wm. Jones of the town of Aberavon, one feather bed bedstead and curtains bed clothes pillows and boulster, and lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my sister Elizabeth Powell to be Executrix to this my Last Will and testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 20th day of Auguist 1789. (The signature of Jennet Richard) Signed sealed published and delivered In the presence of (signatures of Wm.Powell and Thomas Jenkins) A Codicil I give device and Bequeath unto my brother Johosaphat Jones the sum of five pound. Likewise I give device and bequeath unto my Brother Thomas Jones the sum of forty pounds that is now in his hands. Lastly I give devise and bequeath unto the above named Margaret Jones my niece the sum of Twenty pound a dineing table and cloth, the Looking glass over the same and a cupboard on a frame and case of Drawers. In Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this 28th day of February 1792. (The signature of jennet Richard) Signed sealed published and delivered in the presence of (signatures of John Williams & Catherine Jones) 19 July 1792 Elizabeth Powell, Widow, the sister of the decd. & sole Executrix in this .. Will named was sworn to the truth thereof & to the faithfull performance of the same & that the goods chattels & credits of the said decd. Do not amount in value to the sum of Three hundred pounds.
