Fashionable Wedding at Aberdare. HUGHES-KEAST. On Wednesday, Sept. 28th, at St. John's Parish Church, Aberdare, a fashionable wedding was solemnised by the Rev. Kenneth O. Carter, B A., the parties being Mr W. H. Hughes, youngest son of Alderman David Hughes. Aberdare. and Miss Clare E. Keast, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Keast, Brynhyfryd, Aberdare. The bridesmaid was Miss Dorothy L. Jones, Florence Villa, niece of the bride, and the best man was Mr E. J. Hughes, solicitor. The bride was given away by her father, and the bridal group also included Mrs Keast, Mr A. P. Jones, Miss Keast. Miss Maggie Hughes, Abernant, Mr Ennor Tremellen, Aberdare, Miss Williams and Mr Fred Williams, Bute Villa, Mrs Archie Davies and Miss Peggy Davies, Hengoed, Mrs David Hughes, Merthyr, and Miss Edmunds, Efail Isaf. The sacred edifice was crowded with friends. The bride carried a magnificent bouquet of white orchids, heather and white roses. The bridesmaid also carried a bouquet of orchids, pink carnations and white roses. All the flowers including those for table decoration etc., were given by Mr Went of Llandaff. The bride's dress was a cream cloth coat and skirt, richly trimmed, and a hat to match. The bridesmaid had a white embroidered dress and a black picture hat. The bride's mother was attired in heliotrope costume and toque to match. After the ceremony the party re- paired to the bride's parents' house, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was partaken of. Felicitous speeches were delivered by several friends of the happy couple. Mr and Mrs Hughes left by the 3.20 G.W.R. train for Mumbles, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride's going away dress was a navy blue coat and skirt with tan colour waistcoat, and hat to match. Miss Maggie Hughes, Abernant, Mr Ennor Tremellen, Aberdare, Miss Williams and Mr Fred Williams, Bute Villa, Mrs Archie Davies and Miss Peggy Davies, Hengoed, Mrs David Hughes, Merthyr, and Miss Edmunds, Efail Isaf.
